How much of the app you arrange

StoryGraph gives everyone the same screens. In Seekquel you build the home screen from more than thirty cards, arrange your stats page and profile the same way, and pick from 22 themes. Visibility is around twenty separate settings, not one public-or-private switch, and the community stays on its own tab.

Ratings with more than one number

StoryGraph rates in quarter-stars, free. Seekquel rates in half-stars free, tenths on Pro, and adds five axes beside the overall score: writing, characters, plot, atmosphere and impact.

Stats both apps do well

Stats are StoryGraph's signature. Seekquel's free dashboard has pace, a heatmap, streaks, moods and a monthly recap. Both keep their most advanced charts for paid plans, so compare the free dashboards.

Reading with other people

StoryGraph added likes on reviews only in early 2026, and you still cannot comment on them. Seekquel has a feed, following, buddy reads, clubs with nominations and voting, and direct messages.
