Goodreads opens on an activity feed. In Seekquel you build the home screen from more than thirty cards, and the community has its own tab. Around twenty visibility settings work one by one: hide your current page but show your shelves, or switch off a profile tab. There are 22 themes too.
Goodreads gives you whole stars and a text box. Seekquel adds half-stars (tenths on Pro) and five axes beside the overall score: writing, characters, plot, atmosphere and impact.
Goodreads saves most of its stats for the December "Year in Books" recap. Seekquel's live dashboard shows pace, a calendar heatmap, streaks and a monthly recap, updated as you log.
Seekquel tracks your place in a series and shows the next book. Goodreads lists series but does not track your progress or point you to the next one.
Goodreads runs ads, and no paid tier removes them. Seekquel has no ads on any plan and does not sell your reading data. Its iPhone and Android widgets show your current read, streak and up-next queue. Goodreads has no native widget.
