Everything Seekquel can do

1. Tap "Get started," then pick email, Google, or Apple. Apple sign-in is in the iOS app only.
2. For email, enter your name, email, and a password twice: at least 10 characters, with upper and lowercase letters and a number. Passwords found in known breach lists are refused.

Forgot your password? Seekquel emails you a 6-digit code, not a reset link. Verifying your email is optional and never blocks browsing or tracking. It unlocks the community side: publishing reviews, commenting, suggesting a book on someone's ask, sharing quotes, asking the community for a book, posting graphics, and sending messages or recommendations. Saving a review draft needs nothing.

1. Say why you're here: discovering books, tracking, connecting with readers, or all three. You can skip this.
2. Pick 3 to 20 genres and weight each one. This step can't be skipped.
3. Choose up to 10 languages you read in, so suggestions stay readable.
4. Set your pace, mood, and age range, and flag genres, moods, or tropes you'd rather avoid.
5. Search and rate a few books you've read, or jump to importing your library.
6. Set a reading goal, pick your look, and choose privacy defaults.
7. On the app, if you're not on Pro, a short look at Pro appears before your results.
8. Get your results: a reading-type summary, suggested books and readers to follow, then an optional "how did you hear about us" question.

Everything saves as you go, and you can revisit your Reading DNA later.

1. Go to Settings, then Data, then Import library. Pick Goodreads, StoryGraph, or Hardcover and export a CSV from that site; Seekquel links to the right export page. A Calibre library connects through the Seekquel Sync plugin rather than a file: pick Calibre on the same sheet.
2. Upload the file and choose which shelves and statuses to bring in, and whether to include ratings and written reviews. Goodreads' Read, Currently Reading, Want to Read, and Did Not Finish become reading statuses. Its other shelves arrive as custom shelves you can turn into tags later.
3. Watch the matched and added counts climb. Books it could not match are listed when the run finishes.
4. Resolve leftovers one at a time by searching the catalog, or let Seekquel keep trying in the background. Retry or skip whole batches at once.

Books match by ISBN, then Goodreads ID, then title and author. Reviews need ratings switched on. Free accounts skip any shelf past the fifth, and Seekquel tells you which. From StoryGraph and Hardcover, each dated read arrives as its own read; Goodreads only records how many times. A big import can earn several badges at once. Importing another copy leaves your existing reads and the copy you are reading now unchanged.

A Seekquel QR code or install link opens the right App Store or Play Store listing. Pro is bought inside the app; the web version is for reading and tracking.

1. When signed in, tap You to open your personal hub for your profile, goals, stats, garden, notebook, clubs, buddy reads and settings. Open a page from there and use Back to return to the hub.
2. On You, Read on Seekquel is under Your library. Settings and Help center are under Account.
3. On You, Book clubs shows small club avatars and how many clubs you have joined. Buddy reads shows book covers and how many reads are active. Tap a row to open your clubs or buddy reads.
4. On Home, Discover, Library, Community, or You, tap the selected tab again to return to the top.
5. On longer pages, tap the up arrow that appears once you scroll past the first screen.

Book pages have their own section navigation, so the arrow doesn't appear there.

1. Search by title, author or ISBN. Open a catalog book and choose a shelf. For books found elsewhere, tap Want to read to check the book and edition before saving. Tap its arrow to choose a reading status after those checks, without leaving search. Tap the cover or title to open details without adding it. In grid view, tap the status button to choose a reading status. Adding a finished book to another status shelf asks before moving it out of Read.
2. Paste a Goodreads, Amazon, or Audible link, or an ISBN or ASIN. Seekquel shows what it found before adding anything. Kindle IDs can't be looked up, so you land on the details form with the ID filled in.
3. Scan the barcode on the back cover. A confirmed result keeps the edition with that ISBN when you add it. Missing editions are checked in the background; wait for the result or retry if the lookup fails. If the book is found but that edition is missing, search by title or add the missing copy with the ISBN kept. Scanning a book already in your library keeps its saved copy and reading history. Scan several in a row to add a stack. Correct an invalid ISBN before looking it up. Check the ISBN shown beside the result against your copy before adding it. Some older books use a retail barcode instead of an ISBN barcode. Photograph the printed ISBN or enter it manually; use a cover photo to search by title and author. In the updated Android scanner, keep the barcode and printed ISBN in view and hold steady. A retail barcode keeps the camera open while the printed ISBN is read automatically. The camera focuses automatically. Use the light or zoom controls if needed. No photo is required. In Scan multiple books, the updated Android camera stays open as you move through the stack. Each new ISBN gives a vibration if haptics are enabled and updates the count; repeated ISBNs are skipped, including when you resume a stack. Keep the barcode and printed ISBN inside the guide. Tap Done to review and add the books together. Closing or leaving the camera keeps the books already captured. The counter sits above a horizontal list of covers, titles and authors, with the newest scanned book first. Details load while you keep scanning. If a book cannot be checked, its ISBN stays in the list for review after Done. The camera controls sit over the preview and Done sits below the book list. Long titles and authors are shortened to fit the covers. Tap Enter ISBN to type a number; your scanned stack is kept, and a valid number joins it when you tap Look up.
4. Start a missing book with its title, author and format. More book details opens the cover, description, publisher and other optional fields. Choose whether to keep it private, send it to the catalog, or both.
5. If a search source or identifier lookup is unavailable, retry or enter the details yourself. A pasted ISBN or ASIN stays in the edition fields. While a book found elsewhere is loading, Back to search lets you leave.

Barcode scanning needs the mobile app. Everything else works on the web too.

1. When adding a book by hand, choose "Add to my library" with a shelf, "Send to the catalogue" so others can find it, or both.
2. A private book can be tracked, rated, and shelved, but only you see it. Full reviews need a catalog book.
3. Books sent to the catalog may be reviewed before going public. You can send one without adding it to your library, and add more editions with "Add another edition".
4. The catalog holds published books. Fan works and personal documents stay in your own library.
5. For another edition of a book already in the catalog, use "Link to existing book".

You can send a private book to the catalog later from its page, and withdraw it while it's waiting for review.

1. Under My book, open Your copies to see the copy you track, owned copies and copies used in recorded reads. Find another edition opens the catalog; opening its details or marking it owned keeps your current progress. Search editions by ISBN, title, publisher, format or year, and load more to reach later copies. If Add edition finds an existing ISBN, Use this edition opens that copy. If an external source is temporarily unavailable, known copies stay visible and Try again checks for more editions later.
2. Set Format under My book details to say what your copy is, even if Seekquel has no edition in that format.
3. Continue in this copy keeps one read at approximately the same percentage. Set exact position adjusts your place without adding pages or time. Save a running timer before switching. For a finished book, choose Read again or correct a copy in the earlier read.
4. If your edition isn't listed anywhere, add it: scan the cover to fill in details, or type them.
5. Follow your submissions and their review status in My Editions.
6. Add an edition's table of contents by photographing the contents page, pasting it, copying it from another edition, or reading it from an EPUB. Chapters drive chapter-level progress and book club milestones.
7. Open Contents from an edition's menu to see its chapters and their source. If the list is wrong, fix the chapters, or report that it belongs to another book and a librarian checks it.

Your reading lists every copy used when its use was recorded, once each under the same read. Several copies still count as one completion. Older history shows only saved editions and formats; missing editions are labeled Edition not recorded. Ownership is tracked per edition, so the paperback and the audiobook count separately. Synopsis, genres, characters, series, and awards belong to the book and are shared by every edition. Format, page count, publisher, language, ISBN, and table of contents belong to each edition. If a printing belongs to a different book, report it from the editions list and a librarian moves it. If a recorded length differs from the edition details, history labels it separately and keeps the original activity unchanged.

1. Every account has five automatic shelves: Currently reading, Want to read, Read, Paused, and Did not finish.
2. Create a custom shelf with a name, description, color, and public or private setting.
3. On a shelf, search, filter, sort, and switch between list, grid, and bookshelf-spine views. List view shows your selected copy's format and audiobook length when known. On Read, the row and its format and length filters use the latest finished copy in the chosen period, even while you reread another copy.
4. Drag to reorder shelves and the books on them.
5. Pin up to four shelves to Home from a shelf's menu, and chart your reading by shelf on the stats page.
6. Select several books to move, copy, tag, or change status in bulk.
7. Turn a custom shelf into a tag from its menu. The books keep their grouping; a self-filling shelf becomes a snapshot of what matches now.
8. Publish a shelf as a votable Community List from its menu: add a title and a description of at least 30 characters, pick the books, and publish. Shelves over 500 books go in whole.

Free accounts get 5 custom shelves; Pro is unlimited. If Pro lapses, shelves past the fifth lock in your shelf order, so reordering decides which five stay open. Nothing is deleted, and they unlock when you resubscribe.

1. When creating or editing a custom shelf, choose Fill it automatically instead of I'll add books.
2. Add rules from your library filters: status, format, genre, rating (including Not yet rated), page count, first published, tags, ownership, and minimum spice level.
3. Date rules cover when you added a book and when you read it, counted back from today, from the last month to over two years ago.
4. Switches cover screen or stage adaptations, your reading queue, your garden, books you reviewed, and your own books. Each appears once you have a book it could match.
5. The builder shows how many of your books match as you go. Zero means the rule is too narrow.
6. A book must match every rule. Among several genres, any one counts; among several tags, a book needs all of them.
7. A saved rule shelf works like any other: search, sort, make it public, pin it to Home, chart it, or turn it into a Community List. That list is a snapshot from the day you publish.

Automatic shelves are Pro, but you can build a rule and see the match count first. Free accounts get 5 custom shelves either way. Switching a hand-picked shelf to rules keeps your picks and restores them if you switch back. You can't add or remove books by hand on a rule shelf.

1. Open your library and go to the Series tab.
2. Shelve a book from a series and the series appears here, with your volumes marked.
3. Tap a series to open its page in reading order, with your books marked.
4. Tap Select above the book list to pick several volumes, then set a reading status or add them to a shelf.
5. Filter by in progress or completed, or search by name.

Single books, collections and parts share one series, with a separate numbered list for each. Finishing a collection credits the books inside it without adding them to your shelves. Finishing all its contents credits the collection only when the full list has been checked. Ongoing series show that you are caught up. When correcting a collection, add its books to preview their series grouping and check the complete list before submitting it for review. You can clear a collection number or undo a contents removal. Its series grouping is checked again if a confirmed book moves to another series. Book-page strips show the same kind of books together. Recaps follow the main reading order. Whole-series corrections load books in pages. You can select up to 200 books per correction and choose another batch for a larger series. If any correction fails, the result names the affected books.

1. Open one of your own books, go to the My book tab, and tap the Series row under Your copy.
2. Pick a series or start one, and set a position. Leave it blank if you're unsure; use 2.5 for a novella.
3. Open the series from your library's Series tab to reorder, add, or remove books.
4. Removing a book from a series keeps it in your library. Deleting a series keeps its books.

Your series are private and unlimited, and show in your library marked Yours. Finishing one earns no badge and posts nothing to the feed. A catalog book you added to one earlier stays until you remove it on the series page. Mark a series complete when no more books are coming, and the badge shows on the row and the series.

Create tags while tagging a book, or manage them in one place: rename, recolor, merge, turn one into a shelf, or delete. A tag used on notes stays protected until you remove it from those notes. Sort tags into groups you name (fandom, mood, trope) and move several at once. Groups become headings in the tag picker and can be charted. Each chip shows its count. A book takes up to 250 tags. Your library tab shows your twelve most-used tags; the rest are behind a search field.

Seven statuses: Owned, Borrowed, Lent, Advance copy, Wishlist, Sold, and Donated. The first five are library filters; Sold and Donated are kept as history. Advance copy lets you log and rate a book that isn't out yet. For Borrowed, add where it came from and the return date: Seekquel reminds you three days before and on the morning it's due, and shows the time left. Change the date and the reminders move; mark it returned and they stop.

Play walkthrough

1. Add a Want to read book to the queue. The top slot is your "On deck" pick. Search finds only Want to read books that are not already in the queue. Load more reaches later matches.
2. Drag a book by its handle to reorder.
3. Tap "Start reading" on your On deck book to make it your current read.
4. When the queue drops below three books, Seekquel suggests books from your Want to read shelf, starting with ones that match your current read.

1. Open Library, then All books. The search button in Library opens this view too. Search the books you saved by title or author, including private books.
2. Switch between list and grid. List view shows copy format, audiobook length when known, and your reading status. The sort controls sit above the books.
3. Select books to manage them together. Select all covers every matching page. If a bulk change partly fails, completed books refresh and only unfinished books stay selected for retry.

The "All books" view filters by reading status, when you added or finished a book, genre, language, your rating, tag, ownership, format, length, publication year, and spice level (a minimum, hidden if you've excluded romance). Switches for books with a quiz or flashcards, adapted books, loans due back, or your reading queue appear once a book in your library matches. Sort by newest or oldest added, rating, or recently updated, plus due date if you've dated a loan. Select several books to change status, set ownership, add to a shelf, tag, or remove them. From a shelf, See all and Add a missing book keep that shelf as the destination. Saving returns you there. If shelving fails after manual entry, retry finishes the shelf step without creating another book. A barcode miss offers title search or manual entry with its ISBN kept; a failed check offers retry.

1. Tap the status control on a book to open the picker.
2. Starting a book offers a plant for your garden, the edition you're reading, and a starting page if you're partway in.
3. Did not finish optionally asks why, for your own record.
4. Read it before? Tap Reread to start a new session on top of your history. The book stays on your Read shelf, showing the copy you finished, while the new read sits in Currently reading.
5. Every read is listed on Your reading, which opens from the line at the foot of the progress card on the book's My book tab. Add an earlier read (dates optional), change a read's start or finish date, or delete one. Each read counts toward the year it was finished, so a book read twice counts twice. Official goals are the exception: they count each book once.

1. Your page count comes from the edition named under your progress. Tap it to switch edition or report a wrong length.

Add the chapter, time read, mood, and a thought with each update. Every save joins the book's reading timeline. Logged sessions keep their page counts, and each read keeps its edition. Progress logged offline is saved on the device and sent when you're back online, even if you close the app, and never undoes reading logged on another device. Your reading, opened from the progress card, shows today's pages, your streak for the book, the last 28 days, and every entry, and lets you correct one. Your reading shows pages and listening minutes separately, with a chart for each. Finish-time estimates use measured page reading and are unavailable for audiobooks.

Open Your reading and choose a read using the chips. Each read shows its copies, reading sessions and status changes. Open an entry to correct or remove it, then review the affected reading and rewards before confirming. Correcting pages or minutes keeps your current bookmark. Stop an active timer before changing the current read. Corrections need internet; failed saves keep your draft.

1. A quick-rate screen shows a star rating and the finish date, which you can fix. Tapping a star saves it to your library straight away.
2. Pick a few moods if you like, then write a review or tap Done.
3. A rating updates your library without posting a review. Publishing a review shows what the read moved: books and pages this year, goals pushed forward, and any bingo square filled. Share it, open your stats, or go straight to the next book in the series.

Pick a plant when you start a book. Of the nine, flower, jasmine, and tomatoes are free; strawberry, bird of paradise, coleus, African violet, peace lily, and snake plant are Pro. Plants grow through six stages (seed, sprout, seedling, bud, flower, bloom) as your progress climbs. Finished books stay in your garden. You can swap a plant later or share one to the feed.

1. Set a daily goal in minutes or pages, or choose no daily goal. Your reading still counts.
2. Pick how many days a week you're aiming for, so a missed day is a gap, not a reset.
3. For a reading challenge, measure books, pages, minutes, listening minutes, genres, or authors over a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly window.
4. Each active challenge shows percent complete, whether you're ahead or behind pace, and a projected finish date.
5. Narrow a challenge by genre, kind of book, format or length. Format filters count the copies recorded for each read or activity, even if you later switch copies.

Your daily goal and streak are separate: the streak counts any day you read. On the goal card's week row, a filled day met your goal and a ring with a dot kept your streak without it. Tap the info button under the row for a reminder.

1. Create a goal, choose what it measures and its window, then invite people by link or join code.
2. Everyone's reading adds to one total, and the board updates as each of you logs.
3. Goals with open seats show in the community feed so others can join.
4. A few times a year Seekquel runs a seasonal goal anyone can join. It shows totals, not a leaderboard, and finishing it keeps that season's theme on your account for good (Pro can't buy it). In October it's 3 horror books for Witching Hour.

Joining other people's goals is free and unlimited. Free accounts can run one goal at a time, for up to 5 people, visible to you and your followers. Pro removes the limit on goals you run, raises it to 50 people, and lets you make a goal public. The books shown beside your progress follow your counting window, including whether reading counts from joining.

1. Any day you log reading progress adds one to your streak, in your own timezone.
2. The first day you log, Seekquel shows your streak and offers an evening reminder. Turn it on or off in streak settings.
3. Finishing the Daily Quiz also counts as a reading day.
4. Forgot to log? Open your streak, find the day on Your reading days, and mark it, up to 90 days back. A marked day keeps your streak and nothing else: no pages, minutes, or books in your stats, no feed post, and no credit toward the Streak Master badge.
5. Right after an import, Seekquel asks whether to carry over the streak from your old app. Carrying over a smaller number keeps your existing streak. Your longest streak counts only days recorded here.
6. Plan up to one rest day a week in advance. It doesn't break your streak or use a freeze.
7. You get two freezes a month. Left on auto, they cover a missed day after the fact.
8. Going away? Write in and we can pause your streak for those dates.
9. At 7, 30, 100, and 365 days you get a shareable milestone card.

Play walkthrough

1. Choose free-read or Pomodoro-style focus intervals with breaks.
2. Set a session goal: just read, a number of minutes or pages, or a number of focus cycles.
3. Stop the timer and progress logging opens with your time filled in.

Free-read is free; Pomodoro intervals are Pro. If a timer is running for the book on another of your devices, the book page says so. Start one here to take it over: the other device stops and keeps its time, and overlapping time counts once.

1. Start and stop the timer, log pages, mark a book Reading, Read or Did not finish, and add a book you opened recently to your library or a shelf, all as usual. With no signal, the bar at the top says how many updates are waiting.
2. Close the app if you like. The updates stay on your phone and go through the next time it has a connection, in the order you made them.
3. A book you finish offline is dated the day you finished it, and takes that place in your friends' feeds rather than appearing on top. A streak freeze used on a day you were reading offline comes back once that reading arrives.
4. Your library and the books you opened recently open with no signal, as they were when you were last online.

If a saved update needs review, tap Review in the banner. Each entry shows why it stopped and keeps its original details visible while a retry runs. Restore the original copy before retrying a changed position. When Save time to original read is offered, it adds only the recorded minutes to the original read and date, without moving your current place or changing its status. Older updates without verifiable original details remain for review. Removing an update does not add it to your history. Saved details stay on this device for seven days from first saving and are removed at sign-out. If the device cannot retain them, the banner warns you to stay connected until saving finishes.

Twelve sounds, five of them Pro-only. Free accounts play one at a time. Pro includes every sound and layers up to three, each with its own volume.

1. In Library, open Your books to read here and tap Add a book. Pick files from Google Drive.
2. Tap a book to open it. It opens where you left it on any device, and if KOReader or Readest has moved further, the reader offers to jump there.
3. Tap the top of the page for the contents, notes and highlights, maps, reading settings and read aloud.
4. Link a book's EPUB and audiobook to switch between them at the same percentage. An audiobook can be one MP3, M4B or M4A file, or all the files it is split across.

Your originals stay in Google Drive. Seekquel can open files you selected there and may use a temporary copy to open an EPUB. PDFs and files locked to a store cannot be opened. If access expires, reconnect the account in Connected accounts. If a linked file becomes unavailable, choose it again from Drive; keep the same original file when replacing a broken link.

1. Tap the top of the page, then Reading settings.
2. Under Text, pick Light, Sepia, Dark, Auto or My theme, which wears your app palette, and a font such as Hyperlegible. Set the page width, columns, and pages or scroll.
3. Pinch the page to change the text size.
4. Under Reading, choose a read-aloud voice, how the reading clock behaves, whether the volume buttons turn pages, and what the footer shows.

Read aloud uses the voices on your own device.

1. Footnotes open over the page. Tap Go to the note to read it in full.
2. After a jump from the contents, a link, or paging back, tap Back to page to return, or Stay here to make it your place.
3. Search chapters and the text of the book from the contents.
4. Select text to copy it, highlight it in one of five colours, or look up a definition.

Highlights and notes you make in the reader are in your notebook too.

1. Tap a picture in the book, then Keep. A small picture opens wherever you tap it; a full-page map opens from the middle of the page.
2. Or tap More, then Add a reference, and add a photo or an image file, such as the map in your print copy.
3. Tap Maps and references at the top of the page to open it. Pinch or use the buttons to zoom, drag the title bar to move it, and pull it down to put it away until you need it.
4. Uploaded references also open from the reading timer's focus mode.

Free readers can upload one per book, Pro readers 20. Pictures kept from an ebook are not counted.

1. The clock starts when you open a book. After five minutes on one page it pauses and counts that page as five minutes.
2. Change that limit, or skip pages you turn within a few seconds, under Reading settings, then Reading clock.
3. When you leave after a minute or more, This sitting shows the time and pages, with Mark as finished and a way to leave those minutes out.

The time goes into your stats, streak and goals like any other reading.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then KOReader, and download the add-on. Unzip it, copy the seekquel.koplugin folder into koreader/plugins on your reader, and restart KOReader.
2. On the reader, open Tools, Seekquel, Connect this device. Type the eight characters it shows into Seekquel. Nothing is typed on the e-ink keyboard.
3. Read as normal. Your place syncs every twenty pages, when you close a book, when the device sleeps or wakes, and on a timer that starts at fifteen minutes.
4. Open a linked book while online and KOReader checks for a later place from another format. It asks before moving to the closest percentage, and the move adds no pages or time. Resume from Seekquel in the menu checks again.
5. Choose what syncs under Tools, Seekquel, Settings, or from the device panel in Seekquel. Reading time, highlights, status changes, marking a book finished at the end, syncing while you read, the timer, and turning on Wi-Fi each have a switch.
6. Assign Seekquel actions to a gesture or button in KOReader's Gesture Manager: sync now, sync status, today's reading, resume from Seekquel, and set a book's status. None is assigned by default.
7. Sync status shows the last sync, which book the open file is linked to, how many highlights are waiting, and where an unfinished sync stopped.
8. After Sync now, the reader shows today's time, pages, chapter, and progress for the book. Today's reading reopens that recap; Today in Seekquel refreshes your daily goal and streak. Automatic syncs stay quiet.

Free on every account. The add-on updates when you ask it to, from its Seekquel menu in KOReader, and Seekquel's KOReader screen says when a paired reader runs an older version. Reading time is KOReader's count: one page never counts for more than two minutes, and sleep time isn't counted. Days follow your Seekquel account's time zone. Pages are KOReader's count, fitted to the book's length (or the file's, if the book has none), so a new book's first day and a week read offline each land on the right day. Jumping to an index, endnote, or table of contents doesn't move your place until you read a few pages there. Highlights arrive in your notes with passage and comment kept apart; deleting one on the reader leaves it here. If your reader is already tracking a book, the in-app timer warns you before counting the same minutes twice. When one of your own books has no page count, KOReader's count stands in and the book page asks you once to confirm it.

For new accounts, automatic contents-page submissions are off. Existing accounts keep their saved choice. To enable them, go to Settings, Integrations, KOReader and turn on Send contents pages automatically. This submits catalog corrections in your name. Reading progress, time and highlights sync independently.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then KOReader, then Books from your reader.
2. Files Seekquel couldn't place wait for you. Tap one, search for the right book, and the link is remembered for that file.
3. Choose It is not in the catalogue to make the file a private book only you see.
4. Point a file at a different book later and that book gets everything: reading history and highlights are offered again from scratch.
5. For a saved article, manga chapter, or stray file, choose Set aside to take it off the waiting list. Put it back and Seekquel looks again. Select several to set aside a whole folder. Set aside a spare copy of a book another file already syncs, so it stops moving your place.
6. Anything far too short to be a book is set aside automatically. Find it under Not books and put it back if Seekquel got it wrong.
7. To set aside everything still waiting, use the row above the list on Needs a look. It shows how many and asks first. Nothing is deleted; bring any back from the All tab.

Unlinked files send no reading time or highlights, but nothing is lost: your place is held and catches up once you link it. If your copy has details the book page lacks, like the description, ISBN, language, or subjects, you're offered them, and accepting files a suggested edit. Only empty fields are offered or filled. A table of contents is added unless you switch that off, and you're told when; choose Take it back on the book if it came from the wrong file, and that file never adds it again. A file with no title needs Send document metadata turned on in KOReader. Seekquel reminds you once a week when a book is waiting to be named.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then KOReader, and create a key. It's shown once, so save it before leaving the screen.
2. On the reader, open Progress sync, then Custom sync server, and enter the address Seekquel shows.
3. Tap Register / Login. Use your key as the username and any password.
4. Turn on Send document metadata, or Seekquel can't tell which book you're reading.

Pages read after a book's first sync count toward your streak. Reading time, finished books, and highlights don't come across, and the timer stays empty; the add-on covers those. Both methods share one key and one device entry, so you can install the add-on later without setting up again.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Xteink, and create a key. Enter the address and key on the reader, then choose Check connection. Both stay on screen until your first book arrives.
2. On the reader, open the sync settings (called KOReader Sync). Enter the address Seekquel shows as the server, your key as the username, and any password. Enter the address with https:// at the start; without it the reader shows Server error.
3. Choose Authenticate, not Sign up. Set document matching to Binary and turn on sending document metadata.
4. Open a book, press the center button, and choose Sync Progress. The book appears in Seekquel once it arrives. If it asks whether to upload local progress, choose Yes on the reader you last read on.

Nothing syncs automatically, so sync when you want Seekquel to catch up. Pages read after a book's first sync count toward your streak. Reading time, highlights, and finished books stay on the reader. If Seekquel sees two files as the same book, open one under Books from your reader to link their progress. You pick the starting copy, and only the percentage is shared, so pages can differ. Name a device from the menu beside it. The reader counts as connected once it sends your place or picks it up from Seekquel. If it has done neither within an hour of setup, the reader's screen in Seekquel says which step is missing.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Readest, and create a key. It's shown only this once, and stays on screen until your first book arrives.
2. In Readest, open Settings, find the sync section, and choose BookOrbit (the sync method Seekquel answers to).
3. Enter the address Seekquel shows as the server, your key as the username, and any password. Readest needs one, but it's ignored.
4. Turn on reading progress, highlights, reading statistics, and reading status, then open a book and read a page.

Bookmarks stay in Readest. Highlights go one way: passages you mark reach your notebook, but notes written in Seekquel don't go back. Readest sends no page number with a passage, so Seekquel uses its page turns: leave reading statistics on and each passage gets the page you marked it on. If Readest reported nothing at that moment, the passage has no page. Books Seekquel can't recognize wait under Books from your reader, to be linked by hand.

1. In your reading app, start connecting to Seekquel. It shows eight characters.
2. In Seekquel, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Another reading app, and enter the code.
3. Review what the app can and can't do, then confirm.

What arrives depends on the app: your place, reading time, marked passages, a rating, and whether you finished. Passages stay private until you share one from your notebook. A connected app can read your library, including your own books, but can't change the shared catalog or see your messages or account details. An app you don't use for 90 days is disconnected; connect it again with a new code. Building an app? Developer docs are linked from the same screen.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Calibre, and download the plugin. In Calibre, open Preferences, Plugins, Load plugin from file, and pick the zip.
2. Restart Calibre, click the Seekquel button, and choose Connect to Seekquel. Type the eight characters it shows into Seekquel.
3. In the plugin settings, map your Calibre columns to what Seekquel reads and writes. Nothing is mapped at first, rating included, and unmapped columns are left alone both ways. If your status column uses your own words, enter them under Status labels.
4. To skip manuals and papers, pick a Calibre virtual library or saved search under What to send, and only those books are sent.
5. Preview a sync to see what would change on both sides. Then choose Send my whole library, or select books and choose Send the selected books. Bring Seekquel up to date here pulls ratings, reviews, status, and dates back into Calibre.

Free on every account. Custom shelves stay in Seekquel and aren't synced. Calibre can't know when you read a book, so your place is set as a starting point and no reading day is logged. An empty field never clears a filled one, and a finished book is never marked unfinished from Calibre. Books Seekquel can't place wait for you instead of being added automatically. A finish imported from Calibre does not identify the copy you finished. The copy selected on your shelf and reading already recorded in Seekquel stay unchanged.

1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Calibre, then Books from Calibre.
2. Books Seekquel couldn't place wait for you. Tap one, search for the right book, and the link is remembered.
3. Choose It is not in the catalogue to make it a private book only you see.
4. For manuals, rulebooks, or conference papers, open one and choose Not a book to take it off the waiting list. Select several to set them aside at once, the quick way through a first full-library sync.
5. Select several and choose Find these to look them all up at once. Seekquel keeps working through the rest, and the list shows how many it has found.
6. To set aside everything still waiting, use the row above the list. It shows how many and asks first. Nothing is deleted; bring any back from the All tab.

Nothing is lost while a book waits: what Calibre sent is held until you answer. Seekquel keeps looking for unplaced books a batch at a time, so the list shrinks on its own. Seekquel reminds you once a week when books from Calibre are waiting.

Results split into tabs by type. Books found elsewhere are labeled. Tap a book’s cover or title to open its details; Want to read checks the book and edition before you save it. The arrow opens the reading-status picker after those checks. Saving books and finding readers need an account; books, authors and series can be searched signed out. When nothing is a close match, you can add the missing book or view loose matches.

1. Open Browse all books at the top of the Discover tab, or tap a genre to start with it applied.

Stack filters: genre, kind of book, mood, trope, setting period, pace, audience, complexity, whether a book has a quiz or flashcards, and spice level for romance and romantasy. Sort by popularity, rating, newest, or (for romance) spiciest. No sign-in needed. Signed in, select several books to add to a shelf, set a status, mark as interested, or hide from recommendations. Select loaded books covers the catalog results loaded so far. Load more before selecting a larger set. Your filters stay applied when nothing matches; clear them yourself to broaden the search.

Your first visit leads with books from the genres you picked at setup, plus curated lists and picks outside your usual lane. More rows arrive as you go: rate a book five stars for a "Because you loved" row, start a series to get one to continue, follow someone to see what they're reading. Until you follow anyone, that slot suggests readers who picked your genres. Tap the more icon on a cover to add it to your library or mark it not interested.

Save a book or mark it not interested, then scroll to the next.

1. Pick from any book or from your Want to read shelf.
2. Choose up to three moods.
3. Set your pace, from slow burn to page-turner.
4. Set the depth you want, from easy escape to literary.

From Want to read, it draws a book already on your shelf and only offers answers your pile can match. Skip the questions for a random pick. From any book, it blends your answers with your Reading DNA and says why it chose that book. Not feeling it? Try another.

Update your favorite genres, pace, mood, audience, and dealbreakers to avoid. Recommendations draw on your ratings and reading, blended with what you've told Seekquel. The more you rate and finish, the sharper they get.

Mark a book Interested from its page or a card. They collect in their own list, searchable and filterable by genre. Move one or a batch to Want to read when you decide. Until then they aren't part of your library. Select loaded books selects the results loaded so far. Load more before selecting a larger set.

Unreleased books show a Not yet released badge with the wait, and appear in Anticipated releases on Home and under Coming soon in Browse. Add one to Want to read or mark it Interested, and a line under the badge confirms you'll be notified. On release day the notification opens the book's page. Following the author covers everything they publish. Alerts come in-app, by push, and by email; switch any of them off under Book releases in notification settings.

Hidden books also leave Browse and the "similar books" row on book pages. Undo from the toast, or manage all hidden books in their own list: restore one or many, or add one to your library.

Recommend a book to another reader from its page. See what you've sent and received, each with its status.

Shown on book and series pages, below the algorithmic picks. Once a book is on your shelves, suggest a pairing: pick the other book, give up to three reasons, add a note, and choose whether to share it. Agree or disagree with other readers' pairings; totals show as counts, never percentages.

No sign-in needed.

Each country's shelf is built one author at a time and checked by hand, so the map is still filling in, and unfinished countries say so. Know a writer from a missing country? Name them and we'll check. No sign-in needed to browse.

The Community tab holds reviews, highlights and reader photos. The Next tab gathers the series, similar books, screen adaptation, and lists the book is on, and appears only when it has something to show. Where to buy or borrow is on the Info tab. Signed in, you also see community corrections and what people you follow are doing with the book.

Shelve a book from a series and its page shows how many you have, marking each one. Finish one and an "X of Y read" bar appears. Finished series are marked complete. Follow an author to hear from them directly. Tracking and following need an account; the pages don't.

On a book's Info tab, your chosen library appears first. See buying options shows verified store links and checks print and audiobook editions, starting with your selected copy. Libro.fm appears when its catalog lists the matching audiobook. New links appear as stores respond. Search by edition, publisher or ISBN, or filter by format and store to find the exact copy. Borrowing earns us nothing; store links are affiliate links that help fund Seekquel alongside Pro.

1. Open a book, scroll to Adaptations, and tap one to open its page.
2. Rate it like a book. The page shows the average and how many people rated it.
3. Missing one? Tap Add an adaptation to link one we already have, or Suggest new for a moderator to check.
4. For a dramatized audiobook, choose Audio dramas in Add an adaptation. It has its own book page and can be linked to the original book.
5. You're notified either way: a link to the new page when it goes in, or the reason if it wasn't added.

Adaptations appear in search, and you can filter your library to books that have one. You're notified when a book you've read gets adapted, and again when it comes out.

1. Tap "Suggest an edit" on a book, author, edition, or series, and pick the wrong field.
2. In Edit all details, paste an ISBN to fill matching edition details before reviewing them. A book-page link goes privately to a librarian instead; fetched details aren't shown to you.
3. Enter the correct value, with a reason if asked.
4. For printed facts (page count, ISBN, publisher, publish date, title, table of contents), a photo of the copyright page, or of the contents page, is the fastest proof. For genres, mood, tropes, and other judgment calls, add a short reason in the notes.
5. Trusted contributors' edits usually apply at once. Some always wait for a librarian: anything creating a new series, character, publisher, or tag; anything that would undo logged reading or move a book's place in a series; an author's nationality; an adaptation claimed across a whole series; and anything on a widely read book or a locked field. Page count, title, publish date, publisher, and both ISBNs are also checked against outside sources and applied once confirmed.
6. Series membership and order, collection contents, subjects and places, and cover art each have their own picker instead of a text box.

Track every correction, accepted or pending, in My Contributions.

Open it from My Contributions, or from the link on any catalog form, which opens the rule for what you are filling in. A declined submission names the guideline it missed and links to it. It covers when something is a separate book or an edition (graphic novels and full-cast audio are separate books; audiobooks, translations, and reissues are editions), series numbering, credits, covers, descriptions, sources worth checking, and how to install the Librarian bookmarklet. From a Goodreads book page, it fills the add a book form with all missing editions selected. You can search, filter, or deselect editions before sending. If Goodreads blocks a batch, the bookmarklet keeps retrying with longer waits and tries to open one reusable check tab. Complete any browser check there; reading continues automatically. If your browser blocks that tab, use Open blocked page. Books already captured stay in Seekquel. In a batch, possible duplicates appear directly under each book. Matches supported by Goodreads editions start with Request merge selected; you can untick that request without losing the other fixes. Send submits the selected requests for review. Librarians can check earlier imports from saved evidence and recapture books where evidence is missing.

1. Open a book's Editions tab, tap the printing, and choose "This is a different book".
2. Search for the right book and pick it. If we don't have it, name it and we'll add it with this printing.
3. Say why in a line or two. The ISBN on the back usually settles it; a three-in-one omnibus filed as one of its parts is the common case.
4. Every report waits for a librarian, and you hear back either way.

The book it leaves keeps its other printings and picks a new default if needed. Readers who picked the printing as their copy move with it, taking their reads, notes, rating, and review. Anyone else who had it keeps the book, progress, and rating; only the printing is cleared. Both are told.

While writing a review, confirm or adjust a book's pace, complexity, mood, themes, and content warnings in one tap. It never blocks your review. Once enough readers agree, the consensus fills gaps on the book's page but never overwrites what's there.

Sorted by role (protagonist, antagonist, supporting, cameo) and hidden behind a spoiler gate until you reveal them. Add a character or suggest a fix, with a source. "All characters" opens the whole cast on a page of its own, with the other books in the series where each character appears.

Suggest a new question and answer, or a fix, and mark it as a spoiler if needed.

1. On a series page, open the story-so-far row to read every recap in order, oldest first.
2. Or open any book in the series: its page links to the same recaps.

Recaps for books you haven't finished stay hidden until you tap them. Signed-in readers can write one for a book they've read; a Seekquel editor rewrites it before it goes up, and you're credited underneath.

Report from either record. A moderator compares them and merges one into the other; every shelf, rating, review, and reading session moves to the surviving record.

Six tiers: Reader, Scribe, Curator, Editor, Archivist, and Librarian, ranked on a leaderboard. From Curator up, corrections go live immediately; below that a librarian checks first, usually within the hour. "Edit all details", which sends many fields as one submission, is open to every signed-in reader. In My Contributions, see everything you've sent (corrections, new editions, catalog submissions, duplicate reports, adaptation requests, similar-book suggestions) and its status, see what needs fixing across the catalog, and edit or withdraw pending items. From Archivist up, an icon appears beside your name on the feed, club rosters, follow lists, and your reviews. Hiding your contributions tab in privacy settings hides the icon too.

1. Rate the book at the top of the page, then write as much or as little as you like.
2. Add one sentence under the stars if you like. It shows above your review, and you can also write it on the finish sheet or in My book. Tap a starter such as “Read it if you…” to begin it, then finish it in your own words.
3. Blur single spoiler sentences in the editor instead of flagging the whole review.
4. Set an overall spoiler level from the bar at the bottom (on a phone, hide the keyboard first). Hiding a sentence sets it to at least mild.
5. Tap Details to set the language, rate spice for romance, or leave notes for the next reader.
6. There you can also score five dimensions: Writing and Impact always, plus Characters, Plot, and Atmosphere for fiction, or Ideas, Logic, and Clarity for nonfiction. Your review's page shows your scores against the average of other readers.

Your draft saves as you type and follows you to your other devices. Changes to a posted review go live only when you tap Update. Ratings from readers who tracked the book count more in its average.

1. Instead of a rating, you see the release date and how many advance reviews are waiting.
2. On publication day the rating opens, counting every earlier review.
3. Shelving an unreleased book as read asks how you read it, since only an advance copy is possible.
4. If the book is already out, correct its date to fix the page for everyone.

Advance-copy reviews are marked as such. That's the reviewer's word; we can't verify it.

Turn it on in Settings, then Reading. Every rating control then moves in tenths.

Continue a draft in the full editor, or edit, share, or delete a published review.

Replies carry a "Verified author" badge and show on the review's page. You're notified when one lands on your review.

1. Overview: stat cards you can show, hide, and reorder. Some open the books behind a number, like tapping a bar on your to-be-read pile. Most are free; deeper charts like your reading heatmap and pace over time are Pro.
2. Profile: your taste profile in detail, with moods, themes, genre-and-trope combinations, and how your ratings compare to the community. The whole tab is Pro, and reorderable.
3. Calendar: three views. Days shows activity day by day, filterable by read, started, finished, or reviewed. Books draws each read as a bar from the day you started to the day you finished, with the cover at both ends; tap one to see how long it took, or to add a start date it is missing. Days and Books are free; Year, which puts the whole year on one screen, is Pro.

Free accounts see one year at a time, back to 2020. All-time totals are Pro. Format and length charts use the finishing copy from the latest completed read of each book in the selected period. Starting a reread keeps earlier finishes in their original periods. Taste charts count each different book once, and seasons count each book once per season. The calendar and heatmap keep recorded starts and finishes. Completion-time summaries use each book’s latest completed read in the selected period.

1. Your year in seasons splits finished books and reading time into winter, spring, summer, and autumn, labeled with northern-hemisphere months. Free, and it covers everything you've already recorded.
2. When you read splits reading into morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It only counts sessions with a clock time (from the in-app timer or a paired e-reader) and shows what share of the period that covers.
3. Reading range measures variety across genres, era, length, pace, and language, each separately. A measure without enough data is named and left out, not guessed. It needs ten finished books with a finish date. Free accounts see genres; Pro adds the other four and the combined shape.
4. Reading rhythm looks at your last twelve weeks: a little most days, or longer stretches further apart, with your typical sitting, days a week, and longest gap. It needs twenty reading days over at least eight weeks. Neither pattern is better.

A paired e-reader sends the times it already recorded, back through its history, so When you read fills in from past reading. Other reading only gets a time once you log it.

Appears if you finished at least one book last month, and stays on Home for the first three weeks.

Nine eras: Antiquity, Medieval, Renaissance, Enlightenment, Romantic, Victorian, Modernist, Postwar, and Contemporary, with a date range you can narrow. Open it from Stats Overview. Free.

Play walkthrough

1. Your current read stays pinned at the top while you're reading.
2. Every card below is your choice: the daily progress strip, quick actions, a suggestion card, Up next, recommendations, bestsellers, your challenges, your Monthly challenge card, recent activity, your plant, streak, and badges.
3. Pin up to four shelves from their menus to give each its own Home section.
4. Tap the customize icon to reorder, show, or hide sections, on Home or in the full editor.

Six sections are Pro: a full reading calendar, your reading heatmap, the genre and trope breakdown, pace insights, reading cadence, and pinned charts.

Like and comment on posts. Comments open in a panel over the feed (on a wide screen, the whole post opens in a dialog), and you can edit your own comment at any time; an edited comment says "Edited". React to a comment with the same six reactions as messages, one per person: tap another to switch, tap yours again to remove it, and long press a reaction, or tap the reaction count beside them, to see who reacted. On goals, milestones, and streaks a like is a "Cheer". A few automated picks are read-only, at most two per page. Tap the chip above the feed to see people you follow, everyone, your book clubs' members, or only yourself; your choice syncs across devices. Tap Customize to choose which kinds of posts reach you, or to hide posts about books you excluded in your Reading DNA. Post from the top of the feed: ask the community for a book, share a quote, or share a card. A post's time links to it, and its menu can copy the link, mute or unfollow the reader, or hide the post (with undo). Reviews on a book's page can be hidden the same way. The same switches are in Settings, under Privacy. Goal and milestone posts hide quiet books and unpublished private books from other readers. Older milestone posts may show only the progress number when their books were not recorded.

1. Tap the box at the top of Community and write. Type @ to mention a reader or a book.
2. Tag a book if the post is about one: the books you are reading are offered first, or search for any other. A tag is optional.
3. Add up to four photos, or a passage. Passage opens your notebook with the book you are reading first; search every passage you have saved, or type a new one.
4. Paste a link and a preview appears under your words. Tap the cross on the preview to post the link without it.
5. If the post gives something away, switch on Contains spoilers. Readers who have not read the book see a cover until they tap it.

The same box is where you ask the community for a book. Who sees a post follows your profile setting, and the box says which before you post. Posting a passage makes it public in your notebook. You can change the words of a post later from its menu, and anyone can report a post from theirs. Everything you post also collects on the Posts tab of your profile, which you can switch off like any other tab.

1. Tap the second chip above the feed, next to the one that says who the feed shows, and pick Popular this week.
2. It works with every audience: popular among everyone, among people you follow, in your book clubs, or your own posts.
3. Tap See newest posts at the end of the list, or pick Newest from the chip, to go back.

A reader counts once per post however many times they tap, and a reply counts for more than a like, so one busy reader cannot push a post up. Under Everyone it can show readers you don't follow, but only those with a public profile who share that kind of post. The feed opens on Newest each time you come back.

1. Notes: long-form notes on any book, up to 10,000 characters.
2. New notes written in Seekquel keep the copy you used beside their page, time or percentage, even after you switch copies. When no copy was recorded, only the saved position is shown.
3. Public quotes, shared posts and quotes saved from another reader keep the recorded copy and position. Quote images keep that reference too. When no copy was recorded, it stays unknown.
4. Open this passage uses a supported EPUB chapter link in the matching copy. Page-only notes keep their saved page as a reference.
5. Highlights: photograph a page and tap the passage to lift its text, or type one in.
6. Photos: attach a photo to a book, with an optional caption, and share it to the feed if you like.

Highlights and photos can be liked in your notebook, and liked and commented on once shared to the feed. Free accounts get 5 camera-scanned highlights a month (typed highlights are unlimited) and 3 photos per book. Pro raises photos to 50 per book and removes the scan limit.

To correct a saved note or highlight, open it, tap Edit, then Copy. Choose a copy you own or have used, or tap Use book details to use the book’s current format and length, even without a recorded copy. Tap Save to apply it. Choose Copy not recorded to clear the reference. Your current copy and reading history stay unchanged. An attached note follows its highlight. Newly created share cards use the corrected reference; existing shared posts keep the reference they had when shared.

1. Upload your file. A Kindle "My Clippings.txt" works as is; if Seekquel doesn't recognize your export, download the Seekquel template.
2. Match each set of notes to a book in your library, add it as a private book, or skip it.
3. Review everything, then confirm. Nothing is saved to your notebook until you do.

Recognized exports and the Seekquel template are free; mapping your own columns from an unrecognized file is Pro. A half-finished import waits for you: resume it from the import screen or discard it. Books you don't have are never added to the shared catalog.

Add a photo and a one-line description; both show wherever you share the link. Choose which tabs show: Overview, Books, Reviews, Collections, Notebook, Authors, and Contributions. Empty tabs are hidden from visitors but visible to you. You can embed your profile, or a reading challenge, on your own site as a live card.

See a taste-match score, books you've both read and where you agreed or disagreed, how your shelves compare, what they've read that you haven't, and books on both your Want to read piles. Starting a buddy read from a shared pick is Pro.

A message to someone you don't follow arrives as a request they can accept or decline. Book club and buddy-read chats have their own Groups tab in Messages, each with a count of what you haven't read. From a chat's menu, choose Notifications to be told about every message, only when you're mentioned, or nothing. Unread messages still wait under Groups. Tap Unread above the list to see only the chats with messages you haven't read. Swipe a chat, or tap its ⋮, to mark it read, mute it or delete it. Inside a chat, swipe a message right to reply, double-tap it for a heart, or press and hold it for the six reactions and the rest of the options. You leave one reaction per message; picking another swaps it. A message that fails to send stays in the chat marked Not sent, and tapping it sends it again. Whatever you type is kept until you send it or close the app.

1. Tap the photo button beside the message field and pick up to four photos. They appear above the field, each with a cross to remove it.
2. Add words if you like, then tap send. A photo with no words is a message too.
3. Tap a photo in the chat to see it full screen, and swipe to the others in the same message.
4. Paste a link and a card for the page appears above the field. Tap the cross to send the link without it. A message carries photos or a link card, not both.

In a direct message, photos unlock once the other reader accepts your message. Free accounts can send 30 photos a month in chats, and the count starts again on the 1st; Pro has no limit. Photos you receive, words and link cards are never counted. A photo that fails to send stays marked Not sent, and tapping it sends it again. Deleting a message, or your account, deletes its photos too.

Block or mute someone from their profile, and manage or undo both in Settings.

Open them from the link in the post box or the report sheet, or from the website footer. They cover disagreeing without attacking people, covering spoilers, books with mature themes, impersonation and private details, how authors can share their own books, pirated copies and spam. Then they explain each report reason, what happens after a report, and the tools you have when nothing breaks a rule: mute, block, tidying the comments on your own post, and hiding profanity.

Pick a reason and add details if you like; the Community guidelines explain what each reason covers. A post or review you report leaves your feed straight away. My Reports lists every report with its status: Pending, Reviewed, Dismissed, or Actioned.

1. Report something as usual.
2. Once enough readers report the same thing, it's hidden while it's checked. Its author is told, and told again when it comes back.
3. Readers with standing find it in Settings, under Community review, and vote to restore it or keep it hidden. Two matching votes settle it.

Community review can't delete anything or act on an account, at any level. Reviewers only see content that's already hidden, never their own, never from someone they've blocked, and never a direct message. Standing is earned over months from reports that held up, and drops if your own posts are removed.

A new comment, post or ask that is almost certainly spam is hidden and sent to a moderator. If the moderator finds nothing wrong it comes back, and you are told both times. When you report harassment, offensive content or spam and the check agrees, the item is hidden at once instead of waiting for more reports. When you post a review without marking spoilers, it is checked first, and if it looks like it gives the story away you are offered the choice to mark it. Only public comments, posts, asks and reviews are checked, never your messages.

1. Open a book that has an adaptation.
2. Mark the production watched, or say you plan to watch one that isn't out yet.
3. A card posts to your followers with the book alongside.

For an unreleased production, the card lets followers shelve the book before release. Nothing posts if activity sharing is off in your privacy settings.

1. Open Community, choose More, then Book clubs. You can also open Book clubs from the You page. Check the club description, current book when one is selected, and member count. Open clubs let you join immediately; invite-only clubs require approval. Joining is free.
2. Create a club with a name, description, and privacy setting, then invite people by link or from the readers you follow.
3. Sharing an open club offers an invite card, a graphic you can post on social to bring new readers in.
4. Members nominate books and rank their top three; an admin picks the next read from the ranking.
5. Each pick runs as a session: meeting details, milestones by page, percent, chapter, or listening time, RSVPs, and discussion.
6. The club chat is also listed under Groups in Messages. Choose Notifications in the club menu to be told about every message, only when you're mentioned, or nothing.
7. At any milestone an admin can ask one question, like how the pace feels. Members answer with a tap on reaching it and see how the club split, and the club page shows where everyone is in the book.
8. An admin can run a club bingo card over any dates. Members join with one tap, squares fill as they read, and players see who cleared which square.
9. Close the session with an optional group rating; it moves to the club archive.

Every account can start one club; Pro allows 25 active clubs of your own. Joining and taking part is free and unlimited.

1. Open Buddy reads from You, or open Community and choose Buddy reads, to see your reads and invitations.
2. Start a buddy read and choose how progress is tracked: percent, page, chapter, or listening time (percent is used if the book has no page count or chapters). Invite people by link or search, or make it public so anyone can take an open seat.
3. Read as usual. Logging progress or syncing KOReader moves your place. If you switch formats, your furthest point in this read counts. Readers using different copies are compared by percentage. Milestones name the reference copy beside their page or time ranges. Newly generated milestones keep their original length if the catalogue changes.
4. Discussion unlocks milestone by milestone, at the pace of whoever is furthest behind, so nobody gets spoiled. The chat is also listed under Groups in Messages, where a message you haven't reached stays hidden too.
5. The host can ask a one-tap question at a milestone; each reader answers on reaching it and sees how the group split.
6. The buddy read wraps up automatically once everyone reaches the end.

Free accounts can run one buddy read at a time, for two people, private only. Joining other people's is unlimited. Pro removes the one-at-a-time limit; participants are uncapped by default, or set your own cap up to 20.

Most badges have tiers, and earning one sets off a small celebration. Browse what you have earned and what is still open. On your profile, tap Choose on the badge strip, or Feature on my profile on any badge, to pick up to six that show first. Starting a reread keeps earlier finished books in your badge progress.

Correcting or removing old reading rechecks the rewards it supported. Unsupported badge tiers and automatic bingo squares, lines and completed cards are removed. Other qualifying reading, manually marked squares and unrelated rewards stay. Corrections do not award reading again or announce another finish.

They sit at the top of your badges page with the time left, and only reading inside those dates counts. What you earn stays on your profile for good; an unfinished one disappears when time runs out.

1. A card appears on Home a few days before the season opens, with the dates and what finishing it keeps.
2. Tap Join the goal to take part, or Wear it to put the season's theme on now.
3. Finish the books the goal asks for between the season's dates. Everything you finish from the first day counts.
4. While the season is open, Discover carries a row of books that count toward the goal. Before and during the season, signed-in readers see matching books from Interested and Want to read on the event page. Saving one does not count as finishing it.
5. Tap Share on the card or the event page for a picture of the countdown, or of your own progress once the season opens, to send to friends or post to the community. While the season is on, its pumpkin, cat, bat, moon and star are also stickers in the card composer.
6. Tap See the event for your progress, what everyone has read together, and the season's badges. It also shows a few of the readers taking part, people you follow first. You appear there while your profile is public and shows your reading goals.

The theme is free to everyone during the season and locks when it ends. Finish the goal and you keep it, plus a matching app icon once your app has the artwork. Pro doesn't unlock either. The goal is free to join and doesn't count against goals you run. To hide the card, tap its X or switch off Suggestions in Customize home. The event stays under shared goals in Community.

1. A new card is ready on the 1st of each month.
2. Squares complete on their own: scanning a book, finishing one, hitting a streak, writing a review, and more.
3. Clear a row, column, or diagonal for a small celebration, or the whole card for a bigger one.
4. Open Past cards from this month's screen to see every card you've played.
5. Pick a card size: three by three, four by four, or five by five. Smaller is easier to finish. Your choice carries to next month.
6. Want a different mix? Make a new card at any size and difficulty. Squares you already earned this month carry over.
7. Stuck on a square? Ask the community for a suggestion (replies come as comments), or use the square's shortlist of books, lists, clubs, or series.

Not for you? Tap "I'm not interested" when a new card arrives and it stops appearing. To turn it back on, open Goals, tap Monthly challenge, then Enable.

2. Questions and cards unlock as you read, so nothing spoils a book you're partway through.
3. After a quiz, see your score, how other readers answered each question, and a recap of your picks. Retake it anytime.
4. Grade a flashcard Again, Hard, Good, or Easy, and it comes back just before you'd forget it.
5. Spot a mistake or have a better question? Submit it from the book's page for review.

Free accounts get the first 5 questions or cards of each book's deck and up to 10 cards in the review queue. Pro adds full decks and spaced-repetition scheduling for every card that comes due. The Daily Quiz needs at least one finished book, and finishing it counts as a streak day. Pro also lets you replay the daily quizzes you missed in the last 30 days, and adds a What you've kept card to your stats.

1. A question only covers the part of the book you've reached, so it never spoils what comes next.
2. Tap an answer to see whether you were right. A wrong answer shows the explanation, and once enough readers have answered you also see how many got it right.
3. Tap More questions under the answer to open that book's full quiz.

It counts toward your quiz history and how well you know the book, but not toward your Daily Quiz streak. Free accounts get questions from the first 5 of each book, the same as the book's quiz. To stop them, turn off suggestions from Seekquel in Settings, under Privacy.

Add books one at a time and tap one again to take it back out, add a whole shelf or tag at once, or filter your library (by year read, for example) and add everything that matches. Rank up to 200. Share as an image, or make the list public for others to browse, like, and comment on. Viewing public tier lists is free, and every account can make one; more is Pro. Books you added yourself can go in, but their covers don't link to a book page.

Add a title, a description of at least 30 characters, a few genres and vibes, and your items. Readers vote each item up or down, and votes count more from people who've contributed more to the catalog. Follow a list to keep up with it, or turn one of your shelves into a list.

No sign-in needed.

1. Choose a measure: books, pages, minutes, average rating, reviews, or average spice (romance).
2. Choose a breakdown: month, year, genre, author, format, day of week, shelf, tag, and more.
3. Pick a chart type that fits the combination (bar, donut, radar, tag cloud, or cover grid) and preview it.
4. Limit any chart to one shelf or one tag.
5. On a tag chart, limit it to one tag group, and hide entries you don't want; the next one takes their place.
6. Share a chart or a stats section to the feed. Anyone who opens it can jump to their own version.

Charts come from a curated set of combinations, not free-form queries. Keep up to 20, and pin 4 to both your stats page and Home. Edit, duplicate, pin, or delete a chart from its menu.

1. Start from a template (Monthly wrap-up, Book of the month, Shelf showcase, Currently reading, and more) or from scratch. Save any card as your own template.
2. Pick Rated reads to choose up to five books; each shows your stars and your one sentence about it. You can reorder them, change a rating or write a sentence without leaving the card.
3. Add up to 16 elements, such as book art, a stats row, a quote, a review snippet, or your reading heatmap. Tap an element once to select it, again for its settings.
4. Book details use your selected title, cover, and length. Position shows pages or listening time; Length shows pages or audiobook duration when known. Saved cards keep the details captured when you shared them.
5. Pick a background and format, then tap Next to post it to the community with a caption, save it, copy it, or send it anywhere.

Sharing a book, a review, or a saved passage makes the card for you; open the composer only to change it. Every card can also go to the community feed from the same sheet, with a caption. The Story format and most backgrounds are free. Pro adds the Portrait, Post, and Landscape formats and photo backgrounds, and removes the watermark. Post is free when posting to the Seekquel feed. Templates that use a Pro background or format need Pro. A plain link, or a one-tap post to X, Facebook, Reddit, WhatsApp, or Telegram, is always available.

If your phone cannot create an image, Seekquel can retry supported cards online. Keep the sharing screen open while it finishes. This recovery needs a connection and is not available for every card.

Copy your invite link from Settings, or regenerate it to retire the old one. The month arrives once your friend verifies, and the page counts who joined and what you've earned. On Lifetime, your friend still gets a month but you don't. Three days before a free month ends, you're reminded and shown what will pause.

1. On your unclaimed author page, pick a way to verify: control of your official website, an account email on your site's domain, an official social post, a publisher or agent vouching for you, or manual review.
2. Website and email checks can confirm automatically; the rest are checked by hand.
3. An admin gives every claim a final review before your profile shows as claimed.

1. Edit your bio, photo, links, and dates.
2. Author Tools dashboard: profile views, follower growth, FAQ opens, your most-clicked books, and where you and your books are mentioned in the app.

Editing your profile needs an approved claim. Posting to followers, replying to reviews, and editing your FAQ need stronger verification: your official website or email, or a publisher or agent.

Monthly and yearly plans include a 14-day free trial. Billing runs through the App Store or Google Play, so Pro is bought in the iOS or Android app, not on the web. Cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings.

1. Turning off auto-renew keeps full Pro until the period you paid for ends.

3. Once it lapses, Pro features lock or hide: extra shelves lock, extra photos hide, and so on. Tier lists you made stay editable, and your first club keeps running; other clubs, and starting a new one, wait for Pro.
4. Resubscribe and everything unlocks automatically.

Set quiet hours to pause push overnight, or snooze a category for an hour, a day, or a week. Anything sent meanwhile still lands in your in-app inbox. Swipe an inbox item to mark it read or unread. Book releases is its own category, so muting follower activity doesn't mute release alerts. Email is off by default for social activity, badges, feature tips, recommendations, imports, reminders, and both weekly recaps; turn on the ones you want. In the inbox, the Book clubs filter gathers sessions, announcements, mentions and joins from your clubs.

22 permanent themes, each with its own palette and most with their own fonts. 4 are free, including the most popular, and 18 are Pro. Seasonal themes can appear for a limited time, and your previous theme returns when they end. Three themes are built on famous paintings, with the app frosted over them. Tap a theme to preview it.

1. Open Settings, then Appearance.
2. Tap App icon.
3. Pick an icon and confirm.

22 designs in light and dark: 44 icons, 10 free and the rest Pro, plus a pair you can only keep by finishing a seasonal event's goal. On Android, the app asks first, then closes and reopens to apply the icon, returning you to the home screen. On iOS, the system confirms each change. The picker appears only if your installed app already has the artwork.

Fully translated into English, French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese. Your timezone decides which day a reading session counts toward for your streak and daily goal. All under Settings, then Language and region.

Set your profile visibility, require approval for new followers, and choose what others see (currently reading, stats, badges, challenges, reviews, and more), each separately. Pending follow requests, your anonymous-analytics choice, and the books you read quietly are here too.

1. Open the book, go to the My book tab, and turn on Read quietly.
2. Nobody else sees it: it leaves your profile and public shelves, never shows as your current read, makes no feed card, and doesn't list you among its readers. Quotes and photos you shared from it are hidden too.
3. It still counts for you: your streak, stats, and year in books include it, and your rating and notes stay.

First delete any review with words you've published for the book, and finish any club or buddy read of it. A rating on its own just leaves the book's public list. You can draft a review of a quiet book but not publish it. Totals on your profile still count it, so a number can include a book nobody else sees. Settings, then Privacy, lists every quiet book.

Choose from 20 categories: profile, preferences, library, reading logs, notes, photos, tags, reviews, shelves, challenges, tier lists, private books, contributions, badges, community, clubs, charts and reminders, messages, imports, and subscription. You're told when the archive is ready. The download is deleted after 72 hours, since it holds a copy of everything you've written. Free on every account.

1. Open Settings, scroll to Danger zone, and tap Delete account.
2. The first screen shows what you'd lose and offers two alternatives: make your profile private, or download your data first.
3. The second asks why you're leaving. It's optional, and Skip works.
4. The last screen confirms. Deletion is immediate.

Deletion can't be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy. Your name, username, email, avatar, and bio are erased, every session and linked account is disconnected, and any subscription is closed. Your reviews are deleted, and their ratings leave the books. Your notes, highlights, uploaded photos, and sent direct messages are deleted too. Your posts, comments, and lists stay visible, credited to "Deleted user". Your catalog contributions stay, no longer attached to you. A reason you give is kept without your name or email.

1. Open Settings, then Contact us, then Post on the feedback board.
2. Post an idea or report a problem. A problem report asks what happened, what you expected, and where in the app.
3. Filter by Planned or Shipped to see what's coming and what has landed.
4. Tap Mine for your own posts and the replies to them.

One idea a day; problem reports are unlimited. Each post shows its status: Open, Planned, In progress, Answered, Shipped, or Declined. The team answers on the post, and you can reply. Anyone with the link can read the board; posting and voting need an account. If your profile isn't public, your post appears without your name.

After you have saved a book, Home may ask how getting started has been during days 1–7 after signup. You can skip the question. If you choose Difficult, you can add an optional explanation or send the answer without one. Skipping keeps the question away for two weeks on that device. If sending fails, your answer stays on screen so you can retry.

1. Open questions sit at the top of the feedback board, and the newest one appears once in your Community feed.
2. Tap I'd use this if you would, and answer the question in the reply box.
3. When we decide, the answer appears at the top of the question, and everyone who voted or replied gets one notification.

The card stays in your feed until you vote, reply or hide it, and leaves every feed once we decide. To stop these cards, turn off suggestions from Seekquel in Settings, under Privacy.

Email replies arrive within two business days. No sign-in needed to read it. When someone from Seekquel replies in a feedback thread, a comment, or a message, their name carries a "Seekquel team" mark.

1. Open Settings, then Widgets, to preview every widget.
2. On Android, tap Add on a widget and confirm. Touch and hold a placed widget to resize it; each one shrinks to a small square.
3. On iPhone, touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Seekquel. Each widget comes in small and wide sizes, and My shelf also comes large.
4. Pick which shelf My shelf shows, which buddy read Buddy read follows, and which club Book club follows, in the same Widgets screen. Left on the default, Buddy read shows the one you read most recently and Book club shows the next meeting.
5. Widgets follow the app's light or dark mode. Once you have the store update that adds light widgets, you can fix them to one mode under Widget appearance at the top of the Widgets screen.

On iOS and Android: Currently reading, Reading streak, Up next, This week in books, Daily goals, Monthly bingo, My shelf, Buddy read, and Book club. Buddy read and Book club arrive with a store update and appear in the Widgets screen once you have it. Android adds Quick actions (search, scan, add, log); iOS adds a live reading timer on the lock screen. Touch and hold the Seekquel app icon for four shortcuts: log reading, scan an ISBN, search, and add a book.

1. After updating, open Seekquel once while signed in so Siri knows your library. Nothing else to set up.
2. Say "Start reading in Seekquel" to open the app with the timer running on your most recent book, or name one: "Start reading Dune in Seekquel".
3. "Pause reading in Seekquel" and "Resume reading in Seekquel" work without opening the app, and the Lock Screen timer follows. "Stop reading in Seekquel" opens the app so you can save the session.
4. Say "Log pages in Seekquel" and Siri asks which book and how many pages, then saves them without opening the app.
5. Ask "What's my reading streak in Seekquel" or "How much have I read today in Seekquel" for your streak, and today's minutes and pages against your goal.
6. Say "Log reading time in Seekquel" to add minutes to a book, audiobooks included, without opening the app. "Scan a book in Seekquel" opens the scanner.
7. The same actions are in the Shortcuts app, for the Action button or an automation. On iOS 18, add Start reading or Log reading to Control Center or the Lock Screen.
8. On iOS 17 and later, the Currently reading widget has Start reading and +10 pages buttons that work from the Home Screen.

Siri follows your iPhone's Siri language: English, French, Spanish, German, or Portuguese. On iOS 18, books you're reading also show in Spotlight. Signing out disconnects Siri on that device. iPhone and iPad only. Logging pages and hearing your reading figures need your iPhone unlocked.
