Synopsis

Captain Jack Aubrey and his friend Stephen Maturin are sent to the Mediterranean to manage the complex politics of the Ionian Sea. While Aubrey deals with the frustrations of a long naval blockade, Maturin navigates a web of spies and shifting alliances. Their mission eventually leads to a high-stakes confrontation with Turkish frigates that tests their skill and friendship.
