Synopsis

Captain Jack Aubrey and his friend Stephen Maturin set sail for Australia to rescue Governor Bligh with a ship full of convicts. Their voyage is quickly threatened by a lethal epidemic and the presence of a dangerous spy among the passengers. When disaster strikes in the Southern Ocean, the crew must fight for survival against both the elements and a pursuing Dutch warship.
