Synopsis

Crow's Nest, Wisconsin, January 1931. Widowed mother Marian Ward must provide for her daughters through a brutal winter with no income. When she overhears a dangerous conversation, she and her children are put in danger. Gilbert, seeking to make amends to the Ward family, steps in to protect them — at the cost of his career, unless he marries her.

Danielle Grandinetti writes 1930s-set historical romantic mystery and suspense. Originally from the Chicagoland area, she now lives along Lake Michigan's Wisconsin shoreline with her husband and two sons. A second-generation Italian-American, she holds an M.A. in Communication and Culture from Trinity International University and a B.A. in Communication from Louisiana Baptist University. Her work has been recognized in several inspirational-fiction writing contests.
