Synopsis

One Piece, Vol. 16 ("Carrying on His Will") is Eiichiro Oda's sixteenth English-language collection from VIZ Media's Shonen Jump imprint, 192 pages, collecting the corresponding run of the original Japanese serialization.

This volume continues the Straw Hat crew's adventures on Drum Island. Luffy and Sanji surf a tree down a snowbound mountainside on a fast-moving wave of snow, narrowly avoiding being buried alive — but the demented former ruler King Wapol suddenly appears and orders both of them killed. An unexpected ally arrives to save Luffy: someone who had been trying to kill him only hours earlier.

As with the rest of the series, this volume blends fast-paced action and slapstick comedy with the Straw Hat crew's ongoing search for the legendary treasure, One Piece.
