One Piece, Vol. 108: Better Off Dead In This World
Synopsis
One Piece, Vol. 108: Better Off Dead In This World collects chapters 1089-1100 as the standoff on Egghead Island breaks into open war. Having taken the Vegapunk satellite York hostage to force a ceasefire with the Five Elders, the Straw Hats watch the deal collapse the moment Admiral Kizaru and a Navy armada descend on the island, with Sentomaru moving to hold the line.
Luffy collides head-on with Kizaru while Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the Five Elders, personally intervenes in the fighting. Between the clashes, the volume turns back the clock on Bartholomew Kuma: his years as an enslaved revolutionary, and the choice that led him to give himself over to Vegapunk's experiments.
The volume closes on the truth of Jewelry Bonney's birth and the full weight of what her father sacrificed to keep her alive, as Egghead's battle reaches its most personal turn yet.
