Synopsis

Shaped by King Midas into someone notorious and untouchable, Auren now finds herself in an unfamiliar kingdom surrounded by people she can't trust and without allies of her own. Rather than fold under the pressure, something long buried in her — anger, resistance, a refusal to be diminished again — starts to surface.

That anger draws her toward King Ravinger: powerful, unreadable, and dangerous in ways she recognizes from painful experience. Wary after being manipulated by one king already, Auren has to decide how much of herself she can risk trusting to another, all while plotting her own way out of being anyone's captive again.

Gleam deepens the series' court intrigue as Auren moves from reacting to her circumstances toward actively working to control them.
