Synopsis

Sheila Carson is a Dallas kindergarten teacher, estranged from her family and wary of getting close to anyone after a tragedy she still blames herself for. Then she meets Hank Johnson, the school's new fourth-grade teacher, whose rugged charm wins her over after he helps her search for a missing student. As Sheila and Hank grow closer, she feels increasingly called to the foreign mission field — while Hank hides wounds from his own time there, wounds that left him doubting God's care for him. A forgotten envelope becomes the key to Hank facing his fears, and to Sheila forgiving herself for the tragedy that has embittered her family against her.
