Alchemised
The war is over, but for Helena Marino it has left only ruin. Once a trained healer, she is now a prisoner, her memories fractured and unreliable, held captive in the crumbling estate of the powerful necromancers who won. To survive, she must piece together the secrets buried in her own damaged mind — secrets her captors are determined to extract, and that may be the only leverage she has left.
As Helena navigates the dangers of the household and the shifting intentions of the man who holds her, a fraught, uneasy bond begins to form amid the wreckage. Alchemised is a dark fantasy romance built on captivity, memory, and the slow, painful reconstruction of both a self and a story, with its central relationship complicated at every turn by power, distrust, and past violence.
A sprawling debut original novel by SenLinYu, Alchemised is the traditionally published reworking of the author's enormously popular fan-fiction Manacled, with an entirely new secondary-world setting in place of the original's borrowed one. It is long, grim, and emotionally intense, aimed squarely at readers of adult dark romantasy.
