Synopsis

Gold picks up in the immediate aftermath of the previous book's near-fatal cliffhanger. Slade saves Auren by opening a passage between worlds, and she crosses into Annwyn, the realm of the fae—a place of beauty and magic laced with threats at every turn.

Stripped of her memories and held captive by the fae king, Auren no longer remembers the bond that once anchored her to Slade. The story follows her attempt to find her way back to herself and to him, alternating between her perspective and those of Slade, Queen Malina, and Osrik as the war among kingdoms builds toward its final confrontation.

The penultimate book in the series, Gold trades the earlier books' court intrigue for a faster-moving, multi-perspective push toward the finale.
