Synopsis

A prequel to Déjà Dead. Early in her career, an unqualified Temperance Brennan — then still an academic studying ancient bones — is drawn in to help homicide detectives Erskine "Skinny" Slidell and Eddie Rinaldi examine the burned remains found in a trailer. A surprise finding hooks her, and the case marks the start of her shift from bone specialist to forensic anthropologist.
