Adele gave up college and then eight years of her life to care for her ailing parents. Now they are gone, the family house in Half Moon Bay is the only thing she has left, and she has no idea what a life of her own would even look like. Her older sister Justine paid the bills instead: a successful attorney with the career, the marriage and the children Adele never got near.
