Synopsis

In the beginning, there was Romilly and David. They were young, they were in love, they had a beautiful daughter, Celeste, and a lovely home. They were happy. But then, Celeste grew up, and Romilly's world began to crumble. As her daughter became more independent, Romilly found herself increasingly isolated, with only her thoughts—and the bottle—for company. What starts as a glass of wine to take the edge off the day soon spirals into a devastating addiction. As Romilly's drinking escalates, her family is pushed to the brink. David is desperate to save the woman he loves, but how can he help someone who refuses to admit she has a problem? And Celeste, caught in the middle, must watch the mother she adored slip away. Another Love is a powerful, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful novel about the devastating impact of addiction on a family, and the enduring power of love.
