Synopsis

Louisa Clark crosses the Atlantic to start over, taking a job in New York City as a paid companion to Agnes, the much younger second wife of a wealthy businessman. Dropped into a glittering, unfamiliar world of Manhattan society, staff hierarchies, and family tensions, Lou tries to hold on to who she is while navigating a long-distance relationship with paramedic Sam back in London.

When she meets Joshua Ryan — an American who bears an uncanny resemblance to someone from her past — Louisa is forced to ask what she really wants, and who she has become since the events that changed her life. Old loyalties, new temptations, and the pull between two very different futures test everything she thought she had decided.

The final novel in the Me Before You trilogy brings Louisa's story to a close with the warmth, humour, and emotional honesty that defined the earlier books. It is a novel about identity and self-invention — about staying true to yourself while allowing yourself to change.
