Synopsis

Spenser is hired to investigate sexual harassment allegations against a man who has already been convicted and is serving time — a case that is legally and personally complicated. As he digs into the ex-husband's past, the investigation pulls Spenser and his team into a dangerous underworld of blackmail and violence, while a personal connection to the case forces him to confront his own boundaries between work and his private life.
