Synopsis

Lindsey Norris has traded a high-pressure career for the quiet of Briar Creek, a Connecticut lakeside town where she runs the public library and hosts a weekly crafternoon club. Life is finally settling into a comfortable rhythm — until a New York editor arrives in town and the local literary world starts jockeying for his attention.

Lindsey's friend Beth, the children's librarian, hopes to pitch her picture book. Her famous-author boyfriend has other ideas, and the confrontation that follows ends with him dead. With Beth cast as the obvious suspect, Lindsey starts asking the questions the police are not, calling on her friends, her library skills, and a good deal of local gossip.

Jenn McKinlay's first Library Lover's Mystery is a small-town cozy built around books, friendship, and a murder that hits uncomfortably close to the stacks.
