Lemon Meringue Pie Murder A Hannah Swensen Mystery
Synopsis
The fourth Hannah Swensen mystery begins with a surprise Hannah did not ask for: her sometime beau Norman Rhodes phones to say he has bought a house from Lake Eden drugstore clerk Rhonda Scharf, and plans to tear it down to build the dream home he and Hannah once designed together. Hannah is shocked, not least because her ring finger is still bare.
The consolation is that the doomed house is full of antiques, and Norman gives Hannah and her mother first pick. Among the old furniture and a patchwork quilt they find Rhonda Scharf's dead body, the remains of a very special dinner for two, and one of The Cookie Jar's famous lemon meringue pies.
Hannah turns up the heat, chasing the clues from the basement back to her own kitchen. As always, Joanne Fluke folds recipes into the story.
