Synopsis

Hannah Swensen, owner of The Cookie Jar bakery, has been named head judge of the first Hartland Flour Dessert Bake-Off — until fellow judge Coach Boyd Watson turns up dead, face-down in a slice of Hannah's own strawberry shortcake. The prime suspect is the coach's gentle, battered wife, Danielle, and Hannah refuses to believe she did it.
