Synopsis

The nineteenth Hannah Swensen mystery gives Lake Eden's baker the wedding readers have waited for. Hannah is set to marry her college sweetheart Ross Barton, and at the same time she has landed a spot in the Food Channel's dessert chef competition, which begins in New York City before the producers bring the finalists back to her Minnesota hometown to tape the rest.

Being judged by celebrity chef Alain Duquesne, a man with a nasty reputation, is nerve-wracking enough. Finding him stabbed to death in the walk-in cooler of the Lake Eden Inn is worse, and it happens before he has even tasted Hannah's entry.

Juggling wedding preparations, a high-stakes bake-off and a killer in her own town, Hannah does what she always does: bakes, asks questions, and follows the crumbs. Recipes are folded into the story, as in every book in the series.
