Murder Lo Mein

Murder Lo Mein
Synopsis
Murder Lo Mein is the third book in Vivien Chien's Noodle Shop Mystery series, published in 2019.
Lana Lee has been made manager of Ho-Lee Noodle House, her family's restaurant in Cleveland's Asia Village, and she intends to prove herself by winning the city's Best Noodle Contest. Then a local food critic receives a threatening note tucked into a fortune cookie and is later found dead, face-down in a bowl of lo mein.
With her detective boyfriend Adam Trudeau warning her off, Lana starts working through the lives of everyone connected to the contest — rival restaurateurs, judges, and the critic's many enemies. When an ill-omened fortune arrives with her name on it, the investigation stops being about the restaurant's reputation and starts being about her own safety.
The series is a cozy mystery: amateur sleuthing, a tight community of shop owners, and a running thread of family and food.
