Synopsis

Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, is drawn into a dangerous investigation when magic users start dying. The evidence shockingly points to his own brother, Thomas, as the killer. Jim Butcher

Jim Butcher (born October 26, 1971, in Independence, Missouri) is an American author best known for The Dresden Files, a long-running urban fantasy series following wizard-for-hire Harry Dresden. He also wrote the six-book Codex Alera series and the steampunk-inspired Cinder Spires series. Butcher wrote the first Dresden Files novel, Storm Front, as an exercise for a writing course in 1996, at age 25. He now lives in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado.
