Synopsis

Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, is used to dealing with monsters. But when tormented ghosts start attacking the city, he finds himself in a supernatural crisis unlike any he's faced before. Jim Butcher

Jim Butcher (born October 26, 1971, in Independence, Missouri) is an American author best known for The Dresden Files, a long-running urban fantasy series following wizard-for-hire Harry Dresden. He also wrote the six-book Codex Alera series and the steampunk-inspired Cinder Spires series. Butcher wrote the first Dresden Files novel, Storm Front, as an exercise for a writing course in 1996, at age 25. He now lives in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado.
