Synopsis

Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, is drawn into a dangerous hunt for a powerful artifact: the stolen shroud of Turin. Hired by a mysterious priest, Harry must navigate a world of ancient magic and deadly secrets to recover the relic before it falls into the wrong hands. This case will test his limits and force him to confront forces beyond his understanding.

Jim Butcher (born October 26, 1971, in Independence, Missouri) is an American author best known for The Dresden Files, a long-running urban fantasy series following wizard-for-hire Harry Dresden. He also wrote the six-book Codex Alera series and the steampunk-inspired Cinder Spires series. Butcher wrote the first Dresden Files novel, Storm Front, as an exercise for a writing course in 1996, at age 25. He now lives in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado.
