Synopsis

The Magician's Guild is the opening volume of Trudi Canavan's Black Magician trilogy, a high-fantasy tale set in the divided city of Imardin. Sonea, a young girl from the slums known as a "dwell," accidentally injures a member of the powerful and secretive Magicians' Guild after throwing a stone through their magical barrier. Her raw, uncontrolled power marks her as something rare — and dangerous to those who would exploit it.
