If Walls Could Talk

If Walls Could Talk
Synopsis
Melanie Turner walked away from a nearly finished doctorate in cultural anthropology and a ten-year marriage, and now runs her father's historic-home renovation company in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is good at it. What she is not prepared for is the ghost.
At her latest project, a run-down Pacific Heights mansion, Mel is visited by the shade of a fellow contractor who recently met a very bad end with power tools. He is not leaving, and Mel gradually understands that the only way to send him on is to work out who killed him.
Her one lead is a strange box she pulls out of a wall on the job site. Making sense of what is inside may name a murderer, and if it does not, Mel is likely to become the next construction casualty. Juliet Blackwell opens her Haunted Home Renovation series with a light paranormal cozy full of Bay Area architecture and trade-craft detail.
