Murder on the House

2012Signet Book

Synopsis

Word has got around that general contractor Mel Turner can talk to the dead, and for once it is good for business. The owners of a historic house in San Francisco's Castro district want to turn it into a haunted bed and breakfast, and they would like Mel to coax the resident spirits into cooperating. The catch: she has to spend a night in the place before the job is hers.

The sleepover produces one more ghost than the house started with. With a killer somewhere among the living and the dead unwilling to speak plainly, Mel has to renovate, investigate, and avoid becoming the next casualty.

Murder on the House is the third Haunted Home Renovation Mystery, a cozy paranormal series that pairs period architecture and restoration detail with an amateur sleuth who happens to see ghosts.
