Piers Anthony
Piers Anthony was born in Oxford, England, on 6 August 1934. His family immigrated to the United States when he was young. He graduated from Goddard College in Vermont in 1956, the year he married Carol Marble. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, working as an editor and cartoonist for the Battalion newspaper, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1958.
