Synopsis

In the whimsical world of Xanth, a young man named Prince Dolph finds himself in a predicament when he's transformed into a dastard, a creature of pure evil. To break the curse and reclaim his true form, he must embark on a perilous journey through the magical land. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters and faces numerous challenges, all while trying to maintain a semblance of his former self.

Piers Anthony was born in Oxford, England, on 6 August 1934. His family immigrated to the United States when he was young. He graduated from Goddard College in Vermont in 1956, the year he married Carol Marble. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, working as an editor and cartoonist for the Battalion newspaper, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1958. He left the army in 1959, taught public school briefly, and then became a full-time writer. He and Carol Marble lived for many year...
