Things We Keep

Things We Keep
Synopsis
Anna is thirty-eight when early-onset Alzheimer's forces her out of her career and into Rosalind House, a residential care facility for people far younger than its other residents typically are. There she meets Luke, another young resident living with the same disease, and the two form a bond that neither fully understands as their memories continue to slip away.
Eve, a single mother, takes a caregiving job at Rosalind House after her husband's very public financial scandal upends her family's life and her daughter Clementine's sense of security. As Eve gets to know Anna and Luke, her own story of rebuilding after betrayal runs alongside theirs.
Sally Hepworth moves between Anna's and Eve's perspectives to examine what people hold onto — memory, identity, family, love — when everything else is in flux, and what it means to keep going when the future is uncertain.
