Synopsis

Caro Jenkins is desperate for Christmas to be over before it's even begun — freshly dumped, stuck selling overpriced clothes, and just wanting to hide out at her parents' house in her festive pyjamas. One ill-advised moment of trusting her Sat-Nav lands her stranded in a ditch on the edge of the village of Little Bamton.

Sam Wills is determined to bury his head in the sand until Christmas is over — Christmas was always his late wife's favourite time of year, and this is his first without her. He's on his way to the pub for one last appearance before hiding out in his cabin until New Year, until he spots Caro's ancient red Nissan Micra on its side in the ditch. Whether the small-town magic of Little Bamton can mend two guarded hearts before the festive lights switch back off is the whole question of Beth Rain's cosy holiday novella, the first standalone entry in the Little Bamton series.
