Synopsis

English composer Henry Wright comes to the Appalachian town of Pleasant Gap to write the score for his best friend's next film, expecting a quiet stay — not a growing attachment to his hostess, Julia Jenkins. Julia is facing an unplanned pregnancy after an assault and isn't looking for romance, but Henry's gentleness gets past her guard. While helping her clear out her late aunt's mansion, the two uncover the older woman's secret past as a concert pianist caught up in World War II espionage — a discovery that pulls them even closer together. Book two of the Pleasant Gap Romance series.
