The Wasp Trap

Six old friends reunite in London to celebrate the life of their recently deceased former employer, a professor who brought them together in 1999 to help build a dating website based on psychological testing. What is meant to be a night of bittersweet nostalgia at a beautiful Notting Hill townhouse turns sinister when the group finds itself held at gunpoint and given an ultimatum: reveal your darkest secrets to the room, or pick each other off one by one.

It soon becomes clear that their predicament is tied to their shared past. The love questionnaire they helped develop in 1999 was also turned into a tool for weeding out psychopaths — the Wasp Trap — and the tragic events of that long-ago summer may reveal the truth about a killer hiding in plain sight.

Alternating between past and present with a colourful ensemble cast, Mark Edwards's thriller is a fast-paced, twisty ride for fans of Lucy Foley and Alice Feeney.
