Synopsis

Locan A'Shadow was once the deadliest assassin in the Dominion — a man who could bend shadows to hide and travel. Now he lives quietly at the edge of the world, a nobody by choice, until bandits raid his home in the night. Behind the attack is an old enemy Locan thought he'd killed years ago: the vampire Solis Deadhand, alive and building an empire of blood and magic in the north. Forced back into the fight, Locan marches into the wilderness — through haunted forests and snow-capped mountains — alongside an idealistic young nobleman, Cetrik of Guiland, and an elf sorcerer, to stop Deadhand before he ravages the tribes and villages of Narlond. Book one of the Legends of the Shadow series.
