Synopsis

The world's greatest assassin. An enchanted prison. And a deadly mission — to set him free. Legendary assassin Locan A'Shadow has been ambushed and captured by raiders. His companion Cetrik pursues the kidnappers across land and sea to Rameon — capital of the Dominion empire. Rameon is more beautiful and deadly than Cetrik could ever have imagined, a twisting maze of blood and gold where senators and courtesans play vicious games of power. But the city is on the brink of disaster: a vast army of nomads has invaded, sweeping all before them, and is almost at Rameon's walls. There is only one way to save the city — killing the warlord who binds them together. The Dominion doesn't need a hero. It needs an assassin. But Locan is locked deep in Rameon's most notorious prison as warring factions bid on his life.
