Synopsis

Rosie the hen embarks on a simple walk around the farm, completely unaware of the wily fox trailing close behind her. As Rosie enjoys her stroll, the fox encounters a series of comical mishaps while attempting to catch her. This charming story follows Rosie's uneventful journey and the fox's increasingly frustrated pursuit.

Pat Hutchins

Pat Hutchins was born in Yorkshire, UK. She won the 1974 Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year's best children's book illustration by a British subject. The work was The Wind Blew, a picture book in rhyme which she also wrote. It shows how "a crowd of people anxiously chase their belongings" in the wind.
