Synopsis

Feared pirate 'Lucky' Chang secretly cares for his crew, a fact that will be tested when he's pulled from prison into a dangerous new world. Zaya, a warrior from a distant land, finds herself captured by pirates on her own quest for adventure. Together with a monstrous pilot and an ex-assassin captain, Chang and Zaya sail into the unknown, where fortune and glory await, or perhaps their ultimate doom.

Richard Nell is a Canadian fantasy author who left his job in 2014 to write full time. He is the author of the completed Ash and Sand trilogy — Kings of Paradise, Kings of Ash, and Kings of Heaven — the sequel series Beyond Ash and Sand, beginning with Dark Sea's End, and The God King's Legacy, a flintlock fantasy. Raised on the Canadian prairies, he now lives in Texas with his wife and two children.
