Of Darkness and Light

Of Darkness and Light picks up the war across Epheria on three fronts. Behind the walls of Belduar — unbreached in over a thousand years — Calen Bryer and his companions defend the city's new king as the Lorian empire's Dragonguard return to besiege it.

Far to the north, Calen's sister Ella arrives at the port city of Antiquar with the dragon Faenir at her side, facing an unfamiliar world without fear. And at the embassy of the Circle of Magii in Al'Nasla, Rist Havel trains toward the trials that will decide his future, sensing — correctly — that he is being watched more closely than he knows.

The second novel widens the series' scope from a single besieged city to the full map of Epheria, setting up the war that consumes the rest of the series.
