Synopsis
A shipwrecked sailor, adrift and alone on an uncharted sea, finds himself aboard a derelict galleon that seems to grow larger with every passing hour — its timbers expanding, its sails swelling, its crew of spectral old men unable to see him. As he drifts further south toward the Antarctic Circle, his journal becomes the only record of a voyage into something monstrous and inexplicable. Edgar Allan Poe's 1833 masterpiece is a haunting meditation on isolation, madness, and the uncanny, told through an unnamed narrator whose desperate manuscript may be the last thing anyone ever reads.
