Synopsis

Tuya has Maika and Zinn exactly where she wants them: caught, and unable to leave. But being trapped inside Tuya's mind turns out to be its own kind of revelation, forcing Maika and Zinn to confront pieces of their histories that neither of them had been willing to look at directly. What they find there reframes much of what has come before.

Outside, Kippa refuses to accept that Maika is beyond saving. The young fox girl has spent the whole series being underestimated, and this volume gives her the chance to prove that determination can matter as much as power.

Collecting the next arc of Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda's award-winning series, Devourer keeps the story's focus close and psychological, trading the wider war for a claustrophobic, high-stakes confrontation between Maika, Zinn, and the woman holding them captive.
