Kodiak Echoes – Hide Me

Brynn Callahan, a software developer, uncovers a crime at work and is placed in witness protection in the remote town of Echo Cove on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Contending with nightmares, an eccentric small-town community, and the island's raw wildlife, she finds her new life complicated by her gruff neighbor, wildlife officer Archer Flint.

She soon learns why the entire village avoids Archer: a young woman was murdered on the island ten years earlier, and Archer's brother, the prime suspect, has been missing ever since. Julia Pauss builds an atmosphere of paranoia and unease into this New Adult romantic suspense, the first book in her "Secrets of Alaska" duology, continued in "Kodiak Echoes – Trust Me."
