Synopsis

As a girl scavenging the London slums, Jenny Tate meant only to rob the beaten boy she found in the street — instead she and Aidan Sterling, the illegitimate son of an earl cast out after his mother's death, became each other's only family, surviving together against all odds. Their bond turned to love as teenagers, until Aidan joined a suicide squad of soldiers bound for the Napoleonic Wars and their paths split. Thirteen years later, a chance reunion throws them back together — Jenny now guarding a hard-won respectable image, Aidan asked by a fellow "Survivor" to track down a missing street urchin named Harley. Rebuilding trust means confronting who they used to be, and who they've become. The 11th book in Shana Galen's "The Survivors" series.
