Synopsis

Fire Night is a holiday novella set the winter before the epilogue of Nightfall, told from the points of view of Kai, Damon, Will, and Michael.

Thunder Bay has its own solstice tradition: Fire Night, an evening lit only by candles, lanterns, and bonfires, built around a communal feast, dancing, and a masked gathering that ends with a lock-in for the town's children. The four men and their families put the celebration together every year, but this time the guest list is harder to control than usual — hundreds of masked strangers pass through with only a couple of guards watching the gate, and not everyone who came through the gate came for the party.

A short, atmospheric entry in Penelope Douglas's Devil's Night series, revisiting the core couples after the events of Nightfall.
