Synopsis

Kai Mori returns to Thunder Bay after three years in prison, changed by what he endured and determined to reclaim what he lost. He is looking for answers and for the enemy still moving against him and his friends, when he crosses paths with Banks, a guarded young woman from the city's underground fight scene who is used to hiding in plain sight.

Kai believes Banks can help him, but she is carrying secrets of her own, and the closer the two get, the harder it becomes to tell protection from possession. Kai has spent years fighting the darker man that prison made him; with Banks, he begins to wonder whether that man is simply who he is.

Hideaway is the second book in Penelope Douglas's Devil's Night series, a steamy, revenge-tinged dark romance about identity, belonging, and the dangerous appeal of the people we are told to fear.
