Fighting Redemption

Ryan Kendall is broken long before he ever sees combat. At nineteen he leaves behind Finlay Tanner — the girl he grew up with, loves, and has always tried to protect from the world — to join the Australian Army, eventually becoming an elite SAS soldier deployed to the war in Afghanistan.

The novel follows Ryan and Fin from childhood through the years they spend growing up alongside each other, becoming aware of their feelings, and fighting those feelings even as they chase their own separate dreams. War changes Ryan in ways he can't easily explain to the person who has always known him best, and Fin has to decide how much of him she can hold onto.

Fighting Redemption is the first book in Kate McCarthy's Fighting series and was a Goodreads Choice nominee for Best Contemporary Romance.
