Synopsis

Tyler Neumann has one goal: to take down the father who wronged him, and he is willing to use anyone to do it, including Stella McCormick. Wealthy, sharp-tongued, and the owner of a thriving tattoo parlor, Stella sees straight through Tyler's practiced charm, but that does not stop the two of them from striking a bargain that throws them together as a very public, very fake couple.

The arrangement is supposed to be strictly business. Instead, every barbed exchange and forced-close moment pulls them deeper, until the line between loathing and wanting each other all but disappears, and the secrets fueling Tyler's revenge threaten to blow everything apart.

The third book in Navessa Allen's Into Darkness series, Game On is a dark, steamy contemporary romance built on enemies-to-lovers heat, blackmail, and a fake relationship that turns dangerously real. Best enjoyed after Lights Out and Caught Up.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to read Lights Out and Caught Up before Game On?

It is strongly recommended. Game On is the third book in the Into Darkness series, following Lights Out and Caught Up, and the publisher positions it as a direct continuation rather than a standalone. Tyler and Stella are new leads with their own complete romance, so the central story does resolve in this book — but couples from the earlier novels appear here, and the series' wider world and its running references land better in order.

  • Is Game On told in dual point of view?

Yes. The novel alternates between Tyler Neumann's and Stella McCormick's perspectives, so you see both sides of the bargain they strike — including what Tyler is concealing about his real motives while Stella is reading him.

  • Does Game On feature chronic illness representation?

Yes. Stella lives with chronic gastritis, and it is written as part of her daily life rather than as a plot device. Navessa Allen has said the depiction draws on her own diagnosis, and readers have singled it out as one of the book's more personal threads.
