Espresso and Evil

A corporate coffee shop opens in Peridale and Julia South's regulars drift away to it, leaving her cafe close to empty. A protest against the newcomer goes nowhere, and then the chain's owner is poisoned - and the evidence points squarely at Julia.

Clearing her name would be hard enough on its own. It becomes harder when an unwelcome figure from Julia's past arrives in the village, dragging old history into the middle of her new life and threatening her relationship with Detective Inspector Barker Brown.
