Brownies and Bloodshed

Brownies and Bloodshed
Synopsis
After a long engagement, Julia South's formidable grandmother Dot is at last marrying Percy Cropper, and the octogenarians intend to give Peridale the most spectacular wedding it has ever seen — complete with a theme they are keeping firmly to themselves.
Julia, running her cafe and trying to keep the preparations from tipping into disaster, finds the celebration shadowed by a death, and the village's usual cast of gossips, rivals and secret-keepers gives her far too many people with a reason to want it to happen.
Brownies and Bloodshed is the nineteenth Peridale Cafe Cozy Mystery. Like the rest of the series it is a British-set village whodunnit with no graphic violence and no cliffhanger, built around Julia's baking, her cat, and a community that keeps producing bodies.
