Synopsis

In 1946, a remote island is discovered where dinosaurs never went extinct. Breeding and genetic manipulation swell their numbers, and dino-mania sweeps the world, until a terrible incident turns public opinion against the animals. Years later, dinosaur reserves like Enoshima Dinoland are struggling to survive.

Suma Suzume is a kindhearted rookie zookeeper who takes a job at Dinoland, determined to give its dinosaurs the best care she can. Each chapter follows her hands-on work with a different species, from feeding and habitat design to health checks and behavioral quirks, as she learns the realities of caring for enormous, sometimes dangerous animals.

The manga includes short informational sections between chapters written by paleontologist Shin-ichi Fujiwara, grounding the story's fictional dinosaurs in real paleontological research.
